It’s been more than three years since The Living End have offered a tour of such significance. Primed and ready to spring into action on the last day of winter, The Living End are set to take on an all states tour which will see this ever popular act pack venues in all capital cities and hosts of regional centres around Australia.

This highly respected and distinctive three-piece from Melbourne gained even more fans this year with their critically acclaimed number one ARIA chart debuting album ‘State Of Emergency’. Since that bullet entry into the charts in February they’ve gone on to sell out their four capital city album tour across six shows in record time witnessed by 23,000 satisfied punters proving they are an ever growing force in the Australian music scene. Set to tour North America for the next two months, The Living End’s famous commitment to local fans is again realised as they return home to deliver their typically dynamic rock performances around the nation.

Close to achieving platinum status in Australia, the bands fourth studio album ‘State Of Emergency’ is to be released in three international territories over the next few weeks. On July 11, to coincide with their massive 39 date Warped & Headline Tour performances in the USA, the album will come out on Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day and manager Pat Magnarella’s label Adeline Records. To pre-empt their North American headlining tour ‘State Of Emergency’ will be released in Canada on July 18 and prior to that on June 21 in Japan. All three countries will be hearing 'What's on Your Radio' on their airwaves soon!

In the meantime here in Australia the band continues to dominate the airwaves with their new single ‘Long Live The Weekend’.

In anticipation of the forthcoming Australian tour, the band’s charismatic front man and guitarist Chris Cheney said today,
"We had a blast on the recent tour. It was amazing to see those big rooms full of people singing along with us and at times it was difficult to hear ourselves play! One of the benefits of being in a band is being able to travel and play in lots of different places. Whilst we’re looking very forward to touring America, we are equally as excited about coming home to do a massive tour taking in some towns around Australia for the very first time. We made this album with the idea in mind of playing it live and some of the shows have proven to be career favourites this far. After this big run I imagine we will hang up our touring boots and go back to the drawing board to work on the next record."
